Elections of VEE.NZ Board & VEE.NZ Quality Assurance Committee
This is a call for nominations for the VEE.NZ Board and for the VEE.NZ Quality Assurance Committee (QAC). The elections need to be concluded by the AGM, which is scheduled for 9.30am on 19 March 2026, where the new Board and QAC will be approved by the membership.
The Board members are elected for a term of two years while the QAC members are elected for three years. The elections have arisen because the term of office of the current Board and QAC expires this year.
The Board comprises:
- Up to four members nominated by Providers
- One representative nominated by each engineering related ISB’s with a stake in the society's qualifications,
- Up to four members nominated by Industry,
- One representative of Māori communities, hapu and iwi with an interest in vocational engineering education.
The QAC comprises:
- One representative with a Quality Assurance background from each Provider delivering the Society’s Vocational Engineering Qualifications, with due regard to maintaining breadth of expertise across Vocational Engineering Qualifications;
- up to three members with a quality assurance background, nominated by the Industry Skills Boards (ISB);
Important information:
- Section 7 of the VEE.NZ constitution states the procedures for nomination and election of Board Members and section 4 describes the role of the Board.
- Schedule 2 of the VEE.NZ constitution states the procedures for nomination and election of QAC Members and describes its role and purpose.
- The nomination form needs to be signed by both the nominator and nominee and sent to the VEE.NZ Coordinator [email protected] by 5pm Monday 9 March 2026.
- Candidate details will then be checked for compliance against the Rules and published on the official Ballot Paper to be distributed to all voting Members prior to the AGM.
- Completed ballot papers to be sent to VEE.NZ Coordinator [email protected] no later than 12pm Wednesday 18 March, 2026.
